Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Lense is operated by Lense Finance Ltd. We provide AI-powered financial document analysis at lense.finance. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@lense.finance.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and name, provided via Clerk authentication (email or Google OAuth).
- Documents you upload: PDFs or text you submit for analysis. These are processed to generate your analysis and then discarded — we do not store the raw file content long-term unless explicitly noted.
- Analysis outputs: the structured analysis results, which are stored in your account so you can revisit them.
- Usage data: which features you use, how many analyses you run, and basic interaction events (via PostHog analytics).
- Billing data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
3. How we use your data
- To generate and display your analyses.
- To enforce usage limits on the free tier.
- To send you analysis completion emails and weekly digests, if you have alerts enabled (you can turn these off in Settings).
- To process payments via Stripe.
- To understand how the product is used and improve it (anonymised analytics).
4. Third-party services
- Clerk — authentication. Processes your email and OAuth credentials. Privacy policy.
- Supabase — database and file storage, hosted in the EU. Privacy policy.
- Google Gemini — AI analysis. Documents are sent to Google's API to generate analysis output. Privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. Privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email. Privacy policy.
- PostHog — product analytics. Privacy policy.
5. Data retention
Your analyses are stored for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@lense.finance.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and equivalent regulations, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).
7. Cookies
We use session cookies set by Clerk for authentication and PostHog for analytics. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is protected by row-level security. We do not log the contents of uploaded documents.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
